| OCEAN Business School
and OCEAN Education Center are proudly announcing the offering
of the 5th Training Program on Business Administration. The
program will start on November 6th, 2004 and end on March 19th,
2005. All sessions will take place on Saturdays except major
holidays. The graduation ceremony will take place at the 2005
Annual Conference of OCEAN.
This executive training program is specially designed for
overseas Chinese professionals and entrepreneurs who are going
to start, already started, or working in such companies with
strong entrepreneurial spirits. We work closely with Professors
from well-known Universities to compress full-length MBA courses
into much shorter sessions without their losing core components.
These courses are delivered on weekends dedicated for those
with full-time occupational engagements. Besides study cases
of Harvard Business School, we also invite many successful
entrepreneurs, CEOs and top executives from successful companies
tell their real-world stories. The program is now considered
matured after the past four years with 150 graduates.
Why do We Need MBA Knowledge?
Many forces have joined to produce enormous opportunities
for overseas Chinese, particularly scientists, engineers,
and other professionals. New forms of enterprise initiation
and growth are quickly transforming the landscape of old and
new industries. China has joined the World Trade Organization
to participate fully in the global economy. Also, entrepreneurial
spirit has awakened many overseas Chinese to pursue exciting
and often rewarding business opportunities. However, as many
of these entrepreneurs have discovered, often through painful
experience, that an innovative idea and a desire to succeed
are not enough. Knowledge and skills of business administration
in areas such as corporate finance, human resources management,
information systems management, accounting, investment, and
marketing are crucial to the success of a high technology
based company and a start-up business.
OCEAN was very successful in organizing this Business Administration
Training Program and trained 150 entrepreneurs in past four
years. People proudly called it High Tech "Huangpu First
Term", "Huangpu Second Term", "Huangpu
Third Term", and "Huangpu Forth Term". This
year, many members hope to have the opportunity again and
therefore we decided to have the "Huangpu Fifth Term"
with even better program for this year.
